I did not have the opportunity to decide to buy a salvage car or not?

Question by publishwiz: I did not have the opportunity to decide to buy a salvage car or not?
I bought a car in my same state (Texas) from a seller on Craigslist they were about 200 miles away. I bought the car without going up and looking at it because the very nice female was so nice and upfront about everything ??? the car was transported by an auto moving co for me and I received the title a week or so later in the mail. she never told me it had a salvaged title ? she didn’t tell me about a few other things too ! I’m pretty upset about it ! the reason I didn’t go personally look at it was because I am disabled from a heart attack and don’t leave my house yet much ! is there anything I can do ? can I legally demand that she give me part of my money back or take the whole car ? Or am I just screwed ? thanks for any help you guys can give ! I already feel like an IDIOT ! so please have a little compassion please. thank you.

P.S I think its pretty unfair for these people that sell a salvaged vehicle without you knowing until the deal is over is just a shame ! ruins long distance sales and purchases of cars for the rest of us ! If I had been given the option of whether or not to buy a salvage vehicle, the price would have been alot less than bluebook price ? and I would have liked to have known exactly what and where the damage and how extensive it was ? before making a decision on it ! I was not given that option ? there must be something I can do ? anybody else have any idea’s or been thru this kind of thing before ? thank you in advance.

Thank you for your response, But isn’t that fraud or misrepresentation ? thank you guys and gals for your help.

This is fraud. By law the seller has to let the consumer know the vehicle is salvage before the sale. Is it a HUGE safety issue. Salvage vehicles are usually deemed unrepairable by insurance companies, and are considered junk. They are typically worth about 50% of their original value. So if you paid full price-or what you think was, you need to take action. Look over your paperwork, read the fine print, they may have had you sign something stating they told you it was salvage, in which case you are stuck. NEVER buy a car without looking at it. Good luck!
