Question by hspnc_dude: salvage car for 6-7thousand below kelley blue book good price?
im thinking about buying a honda civic with a salvage title for sale hes willing to go 6 to 7 thousand dollars below kelley blue book. the car looks to be in great condition looks and drives like new he tells me that the frame has not been damaged and that the airbags are in working condition im wondering if this is a good price reduction also if i could have him sign anything that would hold him to his statement that everything on the car is in working condition. any comment or suggestions will help thanks. this car with a clean title is valued at $ 17,500.00 kelley blue book

He has already told you it is a salvaged title. Sounds like it would be worth it to you to pay $ 250 or so to get a thorough inspection from a local mechanic. If it saves you 6 grand it would still be worth it.

Sometimes insurance companies salvage a car for no reason. Other times they are right. Best bet would be the inspection.
