WICHITA,, KS – Shopping for a used car can require a little archaeology, as we found out in a recent investigation. Without enough information it’s difficult for a buyer to know if he’s getting a gem or a clunker. Even a Kansas Highway Patrolman can be fooled. Thanks www.kwch.com for this clip (Mar 16, 2009).

I purchased a car at Sundance Chevrolet in Grand Ledge MI in 2005 that was in an accident before I bought it. I didn’t find out until the struts failed and I had to replace them. The front tire on the right is an inch farther back than the left front tire. Basically I have to junk an 8 year old car with 83000 miles b/c it’s going to cost more to fix than what it’s worth. Any car in a major accident should be totaled and scrapped, not sold to customers.
