I’ve been searching for sites that have repo cars for sale but everything wants me to pay a price to access the information so that means it’s probably trying to rip me off right?

you would be taking a gamble on buying a repo car, even if you could buy one in the first place……………repo cars are not sold to the public, only to places like auto dealers

It is not a rip off. it is a way to guarantee a buyer. many ordinary people shop around and wait for a good price without putting anything up front. Those types of people will usually back off of deals.
Usually buying off auction and repos are for dealers. or for people who want a project car/non-daily driver.

Internet web sites are not free. It costs the operator/publisher money to run the web site and to post. (That’s why Yahoo! has those annoying pop-up ads on every page)
If you want the information posted on these web sites, you are expected to pay for them.
