Question by wallace5911: Where do I find materials to study to become a registered Auctioneer?
In the state of Michigan anyone can be an auctioneer. However to be a Registered Auctioneer there is (naturally) a fee to pay, and one must also pass a test. I would like to become a registered auctioneer, and be able to auction Homes, land and autos. Where can I find information to study up for the test, or even learn while being an apprentice auctioneer? All of my auction experience is as a buyer of goods and buyer of delinquent storage units. Any advice is welcome.

There are auctioneer schools out there that will give you what you need. A simple Google search will give you an idea of the location nearest you:

Check with the state of Michigan office of licensing. Good luck! I buy storage units for a living and blog about it… I’ve always been curious about being an auctioneer, but then I wouldn’t be able to buy any more and I couldn’t handle that!
